Description

We are seeking an energetic and team orientated Workshop / Field Service Diesel Mechanic to be based in Launceston. The successful applicant will enjoy a good variety of field service and workshop duties on a range of plant, vehicles and equipment. You will carry out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance on road and earthmoving equipment.

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

  • Be trade qualified with appropriate relevant experience
  • Manual HR license (not essential)
  • Perform effective fault diagnosis on a variety of equipment
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Possess the capacity and willingness to be "hands on"
  • Be experienced in servicing of both passenger and heavy vehicles
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance in a timely and effective manner
  • Have excellent organizational, communication and reporting skills
  • Have good computer skills
  • Demonstrate a sound awareness of OH&S management principles
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
