About Us
Porter Plant, a market leader in equipment maintenance management and dry hiring of plant, equipment and light commercial vehicles, currently have a vacancy for a workshop mechanic.
About the Role
Based in our Ballarat facility, you will apply your trade across a diverse range of assets, from heavy vehicles to earthmoving equipment ensuring that plant and equipment is safe, reliable and ready for our customers.
You will need to have;
- Trade qualification with relevant experience;
- Ability to work unsupervised;
- Hydraulics experience essential;
- Have excellent organizational, communication and reporting skills;
- Have good computer skills for the completion of electronic work orders;
- Demonstrate a sound awareness of OH&S management principles.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Routine servicing;
- Maintenance;
- Performing effective fault diagnosis on a variety of equipment;
- Overhauling of mechanical components.
